BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR

Viet Vu (Quang Trung Pham) is a Vietnamese-born filmmaker who has lived and made films in various cities and different political & cultural regions across Asia and Europe - including Hanoi (Vietnam), Lisbon (Portugal), Budapest (Hungary) and Brussels (Belgium). He has so far completed a series of short films with themes of memory, time and internal decolonization. His works have been shown at Locarno, Tampere, Singapore, and other film festivals around the world. “Ant-Man” was his debut short, which won him “Purin Award for The Most Promising Filmmaker from South East Asia” at SeaShorts Film Festival, Malaysia, 2018.
