SYNOPSIS

Shishir is a 30-year-old Bangladeshi transgender activist and theatre worker. She is the first transgender news anchor in Bangladesh and is currently staying in Dhaka as a Case Management Officer at the OvibashiKarmiUnnayan (OKUP) Program. Having grown up as a member of a minority gender community, especially as a Trans woman, life hasn't always been so supportive for her. But she was determined and ambitious about her life goals and was ready to face all kinds of struggles to defend the stigmatized trans community in our country. Like Shishir, Nazrul Islam Ritu has proved to the world that a simple piece of dedication can make the impossible possible. Ritu was elected as chairman of trilochonpur Union with a tremendous winning in the election. This pointful person has also provided financial support to the people of trilochonpur for the past 15 years. As the first transgender person, she always had to tolerate the rejection and bullying from society but ultimately she made as her driving force. Ritu, not just developed her way to success but also inspired many in her community. They have always believed that community impact is the way to spread a message to the broader community - Shishir had been leading the Bondhu Social Welfare Organization in Bangladesh, which has been one of the Pioneer Organizations for recognizing 1 million Trans genders in Bangladesh. Here, they were a psychosocial & psychosexual Counselor for transgender people. Partner counseling& celebrating various days for the build-up consciousness for her community is part of her job description.
