SYNOPSIS
An American WWII veteran is taken hostage in a self-driving van hijacked remotely on the 4th of July. He is confronted on the vehicle’s video screens by a French woman he raped during the liberation of France in 1944. With technical assistance from their shared grandson, she presents her rapist with an opportunity to deliver them both from a horrific secret if he can only find the courage to face the fallout of his actions.

He has written and directed short films and music videos that have been broadcast on TV5Monde, MTV2, and Channel 4 plus festival screenings at Clermont-Ferrand, Cinequest, Austin Film Festival, HollyShorts, and more. Based in New Orleans, Austin began as a camera assistant in Paris in 2001. He maintains close relationships with family and friends in France and is always looking for opportunities to collaborate across the Atlantic.
