SYNOPSIS
Running coach Nicole tries to convince her student Sam to get an abortion after a horrible rape
incident with her boyfriend. Sam is confused and doesn't know what to do, but agrees to go to
a clinic to learn about her options. That day, Nicole learns more about herself and her past than
she desires.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR
Director- Dilara Şenbilgin
Dilara Şenbilgin was born in 1992 in Manisa, Turkey. She graduated from Istanbul Bilgi
University with a double major in Media & Communication Systems and Psychology. Her thesis
short film "Winning Back Syria's Children" was a documentary about the education conditions
of refugee children living in Istanbul. After her graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and
started a 2 year Directing program within UCLA Extension. "Kept" (2018), where she focuses
on feminism in different female generations, is her first narrative short film. Kept has been
shown in multiple short film festivals and won awards such as Best Supporting Actress and
Women Filmmakers. Dilara Şenbilgin received Best Screenplay award for Kept at the 10th
International Lions Short Film Festival in Istanbul.
