BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR
Lawrence Silver is an Australian actor and filmmaker.
Growing up in Cairns with the Barron Gorge National Park for his backyard. Lawrence spent his
childhood living in his own head creating stories as he explored the national park. When Lawrence
was at home all he wanted to do was watch movies. Even at a young age Lawrence showed a great
enthusiasm for films and their craft, frequenting his local video store to discover old classics like
The Godfather and A Clockwork Orange. Lawrence would often say as a child he wanted to be in
movies, much to the amusement of his peers and friends.
In his mid twenties Lawrence decided take the first step to pursing his childhood dream and
enrolled at The Actors Workshop in Brisbane, graduating with a certificate 4 in Film and Television
acting. After graduating from the Actors Workshop Lawrence began writing, directing short scenes for his
friends, which ignited his passion for filmmaking.
