SYNOPSIS
Carla and her young daughter get separated during a Border Patrol raid on a Texas farm which deports Carla to Mexico. Her tenacity buys her a trip back to the United States within reach of her daughter. On her already treacherous journey, Carla’s fateful run-in with a border patrol agent changes all of their lives forever.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR
Raj is a freelance filmmaker currently based in New York’s Hudson Valley in the town of Kingston, and works in New York City. He is passionate about writing and directing films showcasing stories of diaspora, and has screened and won accolades from festivals globally. His short films have been acquired for by Gravitas Ventures, Comcast, and Gonella Productions for distribution. Most recently, he directed recreation scenes for the second season of true crime show Homicide City on the Investigation Discovery channel, was a co- producer on Hilary Brougher’s feature film South Mountain (SXSW) , and post- production supervisor on Joshua Zeman’s feature documentary Finding 52. Raj is a core member of the Kalakars South Asian artists’ collective where he is workshopping his feature length South Asian dark-comedy script to prepare for production within the next year. Raj holds an MFA in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University.
