SYNOPSIS
Twelve-year-old Asya is not allowed to go to school so that she can look after her siblings. One day, she finds a crystal on the floor and watches life through the crystal throughout the day. Everyone wonders what she is seeing in the crystal.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR
Mizgin Mujde Arslan was born in a small village near Mardin, situated in eastern Turkey. Having worked as a journalist for six consecutive years, she began to shoot her own short films and documentaries, which focus mainly on women, the elderly and immigrants. She received various national and international awards with her first short film,“Lîstika Dawî” (The Last Game, 2006). Her first feature documentary, “Ez Firiyam Tu Mayî Li Cî” (I Flew, You Stayed, 2012) has won a number of awards, including the Turkish Association of Film Critics, Documentary of the Year (2013) and Mirella Galetti Award in Italy in 2014. Her latest short film, Asya (2013) won a Jury Special Award at the Atıf Yılmaz Short Film Festival. The short film called “Houses with Small Windows” that she co-wrote and acted in was selected for Official Competition at the Venice Film Festival (2013) and won the European Short Film Award as well as many other awards.
